Fishing Tourney
1. PARTICIPANTS AND ELIGIBILITY: It is the contestant’s responsibility for knowing and abiding by all FWF, local and state regulations which pertain to the FWF waters. Contestants must enter and be registered by the FWF Staff. FWF Contestant ID Badge must be worn in full view at all times during the Festival. Any person under 16 must be teamed with a parent or legal guardian. You may be required to have an observer.
2. SAFETY AND SPORTSMANSHIP: Entrants must conduct themselves in a true sportsman like manner. Courtesy, safety, and ethics of the best behavior are the norm not the exception. Remember that you represent not only yourselves, but all festival anglers, and the sport of competitive fishing. Rude and insulting behavior will be subject to disqualification. At all times safety is the first consideration during the Festival. No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances may be consumed, or in possession of contestants during the Festival. PFD’s must be worn when a boat is above trolling speed.
3. ENTRY INFORMATION: preregistration forms must be received by 3:00 p.m. March 11, 2010. Sign in and on-site registration will begin at 3:00 noon, March 12, 2010 at St. Robert’s Activity Center
(310 N. Cherry St). Sign in and Registration will reopen on Saturday & Sunday during posted times.
No registration will be accepted after 3:00 p.m. Sunday March 14, 2010. Flushing Walleye Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any applications for this event. Boundaries include all of Michigan’s waters. It is the responsibility of the contestant to receive permission from the property owner before accessing all privately owned properties.
4. PRIZE DETERMINATION: Daily prizes will be awarded to contestants determined by individual fish weight. In the event of a tie, the contestant with the greatest length Walleye will be determined the winner. In the case of a tie in length and weight a toss of the coin by a FWF director will determine the winner. Grand Prize will be determined by a lottery consisting of tickets for legal size caught fish.
5. SEVERE WEATHER RULE: In the event of severe weather the Festival hours may be suspended. In the event of Saturday cancellation, the Festival will revert to a one (1) day Sunday Festival. The Sunday Festival may be canceled at the discretion of the staff at this event.
6. PROTESTS: The Festival committee or any other contestant has the right to protest. The protest must be filed in writing within one (1) hour of the last weigh-in time with the Festival director accompanied by a $100.00 fee, title fee will returned if the protest is upheld.
7. SPIRIT OF THE RULE: All rules have “loopholes”. It is the intention of the Festival committee to provide a sportsman-like tournament. All questions or problems are to be referred to the Festival director who will have sole jurisdiction in determining the application of the rules. Any disqualification will result in loss of protest fee. Any disqualification will result in the loss of all status for this event. If you are disqualified, you are not entitled to any refund.
8. WAIVER AND HOLD HARMLESS: All contestants in signing an entry form agree to hold harmless any and all promoters, tournament directors, agents, agencies, sponsors, and organizations assisting the FWF operation. Furthermore, all contestants agree to waive all responsibility for death, injuries, damages, liability, theft, fire or loss of any kind to entrants. Signing an entry form is in fact signing a waiver form.
Unsigned entry forms will NOT be processed for competition.
